APAS

APAS 2010 presented a novelty to its visitors: ID cards with RFID. It was the first time that the RFID system was used in Brazil in an event this size. The choice of APAS 2010 was exactly to take innovation to the event and present to the supermarket sector the possibilities that technology can bring to the daily routine of the business, aggregating value, agility, safety and reducing costs. Innovation was also in the fact of HP be the first IT company to expose in APAS Fair.

HP also demonstrated in its booth the operation of IT systems that can be applied to products, services and in logistics. It was presented to the APAS 2010 public how the technology is in the entire value chain of the retail market, and how the RFID system can be used in shelves, controlling remote and electronically the product’s cycle.

The event attracted about 72,000 people and more than 550 exhibitors showcased their products.
